This is despite the fact the 777X has an aluminum fuselage as opposed to the composite fuselage of the 787. It will use similar pressurization for the 777X. Boeing lowered that for the 787 to 6,000 feet. Most aircraft cabins are pressurized to 8,000 feet. With a simulated lower altitude, the air is denser, and it is easier for the body to oxygenate itself. It leads to a more comfortable flight, with fewer jetlag effects.
